1) Entrepreneurship and Microfinance
Work with impoverished neighborhoods of Buenos Aires, supporting families living in poverty wanting to improve their present situation through loans and assistance in entrepeneurship.
These families are not able to receive capital through the traditional financial channels, however are motivated to work and generate their own income because of the imminent need to feed their children and create a more promising future. Beyond economic stimulus, the organization works intensely in providing the necessary tools so that the entrepreneurs can carry out the accounting of their businesses, detect the demand of their products, and become competent and therefore, sustainable.

2) Helping to relieve hunger
The proposal is to work in one of the top institutions which works as a link or bridge between those who suffer hunger and those who can and want to collaborate through a efficient and honest channel of distribution, which guarantees that the donation will reach those who are in need.
Every two hours in Argentina a child under 5 years old dies because of malnutrition and hunger. There are 260.000 children between 0 and 5 years old with some level of malnutrition. 2.100.000 Argentineans don’t have a daily meal, which means that approximately 330.000 families in Argentina suffer from hunger.
The main challenge is in fundraising and increasing the number of food donors. Volunteers  are challenged to create ideas on how to increase funding opportunities for the organization and how to increase the number of food donors; to contact and generate donations and loyalty to the cause through publicity, social networking sites, loyalty programs and campaigns. In the communication area, volunteers will assist with assembling newsletters, internal and external, in preparation of writing publications and reports. If you have any skill in networking or with related networking technologies, we would appreciate it.

3) Sustainable social and economic development in rural towns of Argentina
Help a development organization that promotes social and economic opportunities for the inhabitants of small rural towns at risk of disappearing. Communities work together with the NGO and volunteers through their own freedom and entrepreneurial spirit.
In Argentina there are more than 602 towns of less than 2,000 inhabitants, at risk to disappear or in a state of depopulation crisis. Their inhabitants cannot find work nor cultural opportunities for their personal growth, self esteem and quality of living in their towns. Therefore, they migrate to cities where they live on the margins of society and face many disadvantages.
Volunteers will help in strengthening human development through social, cultural, and economic activities in the towns. The idea is to foster and implement more cultural and economic activity in the villages, so that the local populations can discover new things, create better livelihoods and feel capable of contributing to their own welfare.

Qualifications and Assets
Spanish language skills for all the projects are required; you will find it difficult to communicate with community members and organization staff if you cannot speak Spanish.
Time constraints
The organizations are looking for a minimum 1 month commitment. You should speak with the specific organization if you have special time constraints that will only allow you to stay for a shorter period of time.
